D&D Futon Furniture has recalled about 800 sleeper chair folding foam beds due to a violation of the federal mattress flammability standard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the units do not meet the standard and thus pose a fire hazard. No injuries have been reported.
The units can be used as a chair or a bed and were sold in 24-, 32-, 36- and 48-inch wide sizes. The units are 70 inches long and are 6 inches high when configured as a mattress.
The recall involves the following sleeper chair folding foam bed units bearing item numbers: B078ZLW6TR; B00G2RYF4C; B00N3ETGTG and B0716L1W91.
Made in the U.S. by D&D Futon Furniture of South El Monte, Calif., these were sold at Amazon.com and Ebay.com from January 2018 through October 2018 for between $102 and $165.
Consumers have been advised to immediately stop using the recalled mattresses and contact D&D Futon Furniture to receive a free fitted liner to cover the mattress and bring it in compliance with the federal standard.
The company can be reached at (877) 416-5226 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday, or via email at recallgraychairs@yahoo.com or online at www.ddfutonfurniture.com, where information is available under the recall tab.
