Total bedding market drops 4% in dollars, 7.9% in units in 3Q, ISPA says

The total market for mattresses, stationary and motion foundations dropped 4% in dollars in the third quarter and fell 7.9% in units, a new industry report says.

The Bedding Market Quarterly for the third quarter, published by the International Sleep Products Assn., shows declines in U.S. mattress production and mattress imports in the third quarter.

In the first nine months of the year, the total market for mattresses, stationary and motion foundations is down 3.7% in dollars and 7.6% in units, the ISPA report said.
